Policy Statement
This event is being organised by a local committee of musicians and jazz fans.Our aim is to promote jazz on the Isle of Wight. Members of the committee will not receive any financial reward. Inspected accounts will be made available on request.
The committee will cover the cost of the main venues and headline acts. This will be funded by sponsorship, ticket sales and other fund-raising activities.
Any subsequent profits will go towards funding future events.
We will encourage other performances during the period. However, we will not act as agents. It will be the responsibility of the performers and venues to negotiate between themselves.

California State University (Northridge) "A" Big Band
We are delighted to host the California University State (Northridge) "A" big band who represent the cream of USA College jazz. They are on their first tour of the UK and their trip to the Isle of Wight represents their final appearance before heading back to America
The CSUN Big "A" Band is recognized as one of the finest college jazz bands in the USA. The band's recordings are heard on jazz radio stations around the world and have received rave reviews.
The award-winning CSU Northridge Big "A" Band regularly performs at major music festivals including the Monterey and Reno Jazz Festivals. The band has been featured at the conferences of the California Music Educator's Association (CMEA) as well as the International Association of Jazz Educators (IAJE) and has toured the Far East, Australia and Europe.
Guest artists with the band include Randy Brecker, Bill Perkins, Bob Florence, Alex Iles, Clay Jenkins,Vince Mendoza, Bob Sheppard, Gordon Goodwin, George Stone, Bob McChesney, Ron Stout, Peter Erskine, Dave Holland, Gary Foster, Bobby Shew, Fred Sturm and many others
