Policy Statement

This event is being organised by a local committee of musicians and jazz fans.

Our aim is to promote jazz on the Isle of Wight. Members of the committee will not receive any financial reward. Inspected accounts will be made available on request.

The committee will cover the cost of the main venues and headline acts. This will be funded by sponsorship, ticket sales and other fund-raising activities.

Any subsequent profits will go towards funding future events and a donation to charity (IW Mountbatten Hospice).

We will encourage other performances during the period. However, we will not act as agents. It will be the responsibility of the performers and venues to negotiate between themselves.

First class job, resulting in a first class presentation of the best of British Jazz - including yourself, and all the local musicians, Jim. A relaxed and friendly festival, due to all the team. My congratulations - and thanks.

Good afternoon Jim, As you were so busy on Sunday evening, we did not get a chance to say goodbye, so this is just a short note to thank you once again for a great festival weekend. As far as I could see, it was a resounding success in every respect and I am looking forward to next years event already !! Have a bit of a rest now to recharge your batteries !! Many thanks to you and to all your team, for the huge effort that you all put in to every day, and I am so pleased that your bravery in booking the Medina Theatre was properly rewarded. I would like to sort out my accommodation for next year as soon as possible, so please let me know the dates as soon as convenient after they have been confirmed. In the meantime, thank you once again for a great weekend and very best wishes for the work required for next year. Kindest regards,
Laurence.

Dear Jim Just to say my wife and I really enjoyed the Jazz weekend. Gary Plumley is great and can do no wrong where we are concerned. However the surprise for us was Back to Basie. They were really great and I e-mailed them to say so. Paul Lacey came back and said that they would love to come back here if we wanted them back. So this is my vote for them to come back! Best wishes
