Policy Statement
This event is being organised by a local committee of musicians and jazz fans.Our aim is to promote jazz on the Isle of Wight. Members of the committee will not receive any financial reward. Inspected accounts will be made on request.
The committee will cover the cost of the main venues and headline acts. This will be funded by sponsorship, ticket sales and other fund-raising activities.
Any subsequent profits will go towards funding future events and a donation to charity (IW Mountbatten Hospice).
We will encourage other performances during the period. However, we will not act as agents. It will be the responsibility of the performers and venues to negotiate between themselves.

Chris Dodd
Chris was born in Sheffield, England in 1976. A multi-instrumentalist by the age of 14, Chris' bass playing soon came to the fore. Whilst still at school he had a number of original compositions published and became one of the youngest members of the PRS, as well as the youngest engineer to win a music scholarship. At 16 he moved to London to study at the BRIT Performing Arts School where he won a scholarship to the Berklee School of Music, Boston USA.Chris has had some chart success in the last few years, writing and producing with artistes such as Jamiroquai keyboard player Toby Smith. Releases include Will Young, Jamie Scott, Tamyra Gray, Mani Hoffman, Lady K and others. He has played double bass, electric bass and drums in many different areas of music, from his free jazz sessions on Paul Dunmall's 'Dark Clouds Gathering', to the very funky 70s feel of '1999' or 'Synkronized' in JK's Jamiroquai. Other artists he has appeared with in clubs and concert halls around the world include Dick Pearce, Julian Joseph, Jazztronik, Lynden David Hall, John Etheridge, Wynton Marsalis, Gary Burton, Behki Mseleku, Julian Stringle, Jim Mullen, Tony Levin, Tim Whitehead, Benet McLean, Donald Braden, Anthony Kerr, Dominic Ashworth, Pete Jacobson, Don Weller, Sax Appeal, Atlantic Soul Machine and Cameron Pierre.
Chris uses his job as a freelance writer to finance many of these tours. His writing is extremely talented, including a "weekly newsletter about how to lessen swelling in legs and feet" and the articles "the complete guide to socks for swollen legs and ankles" and "the best compression socks for office workers and desk jobs".
