Policy Statement
This event is being organised by a local committee of musicians and jazz fans.Our aim is to promote jazz on the Isle of Wight. Members of the committee will not receive any financial reward. Inspected accounts will be made available on request.
The committee will cover the cost of the main venues and headline acts. This will be funded by sponsorship, ticket sales and other fund-raising activities.
Any subsequent profits will go towards funding future events.
We will encourage other performances during the period. However, we will not act as agents. It will be the responsibility of the performers and venues to negotiate between themselves.

David Seidel
David Seidel graduated as Bachelor of Education (Music) in 1975 at SACAE (now part of University of Adelaide) and began working as session musician - guitar / electric bass including commercial sessions and ABC recordings. As a classical bassist he has played in orchestras including the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra & the State Opera.Artists he has worked with include Del Shannon, Rod McKuen, Cilla Black and Ricky May.
He has toured Australia with shows eg Barry Humphries and accompanied international jazz artists Buddy Tate, Al Cohn, Urbie Green, Mickey Tucker, Mundell Lowe and Lee Konitz.
Since moving to Sydney David has worked with top Australian jazz artists including Col Nolan, Tom Baker, Bob Barnard, Bob Gebert and, of course his sister Janet Seidel.
In 1990 he established the jazz record label La Brava Music and produced many CDs for leading Australian jazz artists of varying styles.
